'History' is an undeniably powerful pop/rock masterpiece lamenting the ideas of a guaranteed love now proven to be condition. It is the reflection of a period of cyclic grieving and is highly symbolic of a dream and a journey well worth the time and tears.

MAXON states "this song was the first step taken towards bravery and self-acceptance, long over-due and represents a major turning point in my life and career. I'm breaking free from my long standing history of self-doubt, inflicted upon me throughout my childhood that later muscled in on my adult life, and I'm burning all those bridges behind me to focus on a productive future full of bravery and self-love".
